The average annual salary for a CHRO clocks in at $259,097. That compares with $238,933 for CEOs, a survey of 70 tech companies in Chicago found. The Illinois Technology Association and Objective Paradigm, a staffing firm, conducted the survey.
Chief revenue officers trailed CEOs with an average $235,000. Almost half the companies surveyed also offer unlimited time off and signing bonuses.
