More than 25% of employees who quit are wondering if that was the right decision, notes Joblist, an artificial intelligence job-search platform. It conducted a study of more than 15,000 people searching for work.
Those regrets stem from worries about the job and labor market worsening over the reminder of the year. And for those who did quit and found a new gig, 42% now say the grass turned out not to be greener on the other side or that they missed their former colleagues.
“Social connection is often an underrated one,” says Kevin Harrington, Jobseek’s CEO. “Many people spend as much time at work as they do with family and friends. For those who build strong personal relationships with colleagues, it can make a huge impact on how they view their job and how likely they are to stay in it.”
