New Dads In Hong Kong Get 5-Days Paternity Leave

Hong Kong employers soon will be required to give new dads five days of paternity leave. So reports the South China Morning Post.

The statutory paternity leave policy will take effect before the Lunar New Year in February. Lawmakers from the Pan-democratic party failed in their efforts to get the government to subsidize employers for an additional two days, giving them a total of seven days of leave. The current policy now only allows for three days.
