“Our employees’ time is so precious,” Wendy Taylor Wampler, director, leader and organizational effectiveness at Indeed, said at a recent conference. “We really needed to find something to grab learners and say, ‘Look at this, give us a little bit of your time.’”
Taylor sought out a way to ensure employees could continue to develop their skills, especially soft skills, as they worked remotely and struggled with childcare, taking care of elderly parents and other challenges. Indeed linked up with technology platform Mursion to bolster its connection with its employees through VR.
“We knew we wanted to focus on these [soft] skills,” Wampler said. “And we wanted a tech [solution] to provide the wow factor and deliver consistent high quality.”
