Securing mid-level and senior-level AI jobs, meanwhile, could mean a 55.77% and 48.61% compensation bump, respectively, compared with their non-AI counterparts, according to a study from Biz Report. Arizona beat out all other states for the highest paying AI jobs where a system AI architect can earn $450,000 annually.
Overall, AI-related work pays 77.53% more than non-AI occupations. The best paying AI jobs in 22 states are in machine learning.
“In just one year, from 2022 to 2023, computer science salaries in the United States witnessed a substantial surge, with an impressive average increase of 45.87%,” Biz Report notes in its study. “This growth, which is directly attributed to the booming demand for professionals in AI-related roles, shows the profound influence of artificial intelligence on workforce compensation.”
