Two NZ Soldiers Admit to Messing with HR Database, Stealing $16K

Two soldiers serving in New Zealand’s army stole more than $16,000 and tampered with a human resources database to score free meals and trips. So reports stuff.co.nz.

Corporal Aiga S. Mailata and Corporal Edwina B. Taua had misused “pay as you dine" cards, according to a court martial hearing. Last month, the soldiers faced dismissal with Mailata also facing a 28-day civilian jail sentence and Taua facing a 14-day civilian jail sentence.
