France to Workers: OK to Blow Off Work Emails On Weekends

On Jan. 1 France made it easier for workers to blowoff weekend emails from their bosses. So reports The Christian Science Monitor.

The so-called “right to disconnect” law aims to help workers separate themselves from being on 24/7 when it comes to their job. France’s official work week is 35 hours. That compares to the US where the average worker puts in 47 hours and 17% say work competes with their personal time. In May, French legislators passed the law, as reported.
