Debra Di Nola alleges in her lawsuit that Freudenberg NOK Sealing Technologies, which has operations based in the U.S., fired her in June for “exaggerating the ‘China Virus.’” Her former employer claimed in its response to Di Nola’s suit that she has a history of exaggerating claims.
After Di Nola emailed Manchester Freudenberg Vice President Al Nadeau and others Jan. 29 with her recommendation that the two employees remain quarantined at home to avoid infecting other workers, the company reprimanded her, according to the lawsuit.
