Kentucky Union Organizer Alleges Amazon Fired Him As Retaliation

A 22-year-old man who led an effort to unionize a Kentucky Amazon warehouse alleges the e-commerce giant fired him late last month as punishment. So reports CNBC.

AmazonMatt Littrell, who worked for Amazon for one and a half years and spent months on his union organizing efforts in Campbellsville, filed a compliant with federal labor officials.

“Amazon will go to any lengths to union bust even outside of New York,” Littrell said of his dismissal, recognizing Amazon’s actions against union organizing in Staten Island and Albany. “They’re going to try to nip every movement in the bud.”

Amazon rejected that it fired Littrell in retaliation and said it was due to his performance.
