Dutch Court Rules for Employee Fired for Refusing to Leave His Webcam On  

A telemarketer who worked in the Netherlands for a Florida-based firm and who was fired after he refused to keep his webcam on during work had his rights violated. So reports BBC.

webcam g59965e81b 640A Dutch court ruled in favor of the employee of IT firm, Chetu, and awarded the man $72,355. Chetu fired the employee after he refused to share his screen and leave his camera on as he worked in August and justified the termination to his “refusal to work” and “insubordination.”

Chetu, which has a branch in the Netherlands, did not give the court a statement and did not show up for the hearing. The court ruling came last month.
