Wendy’s 'Blended' Approach to Recruitment

Fast food giant Wendy’s is competing for talent with a “blended staffing strategy” to tap in-house and external recruiting talent. So reports Hunt Scanlon

Scott Weisberg, the $10 billion fast food chain’s chief people officer, says such a strategy means the firm uses external recruiters to find senior leaders with unique skill sets, but also to rely heavily on its internal experts. “Increasingly, having a staffing department that invests in talented in-house recruiters who have strong research capabilities has allowed us to be both responsive to out internal clients and deliver cost effective staffing results,” Weisberg says.
