Companies Join Forces to Help Unemployed Find Work

Four companies have teamedup to form People + Work Connect, a group aimed at helping workers left unemployed due to the pandemic to find new jobs. So reports Fortune.

hiring 3556411 640smallTotal unemployment claims over a one-month span (ended April 11) hit 22 million, with the real unemployment rate expected to have reached about 18% at that time. The effort involving ServiceNow, Lincoln Financial Group, Accenture and Verizon, aims to join companies that have laid off or furloughed employees with firms desperate for workers. Accenture created a platform in partnership with the firms’ four chief human resources officer to help employers find workers.

"By connecting companies that are hiring with a talented and available workforce, technology is truly acting in service of people," says Pat Wadors, chief talent officer at ServiceNow.
