Target Aims To Boost Black Worker Ranks 20% Over Three Years

Target aims to boost its workforce diversity, and that includes increasing the number of Black employees by 20% over the next three years. So reports USA Today.

TargetLast month, the retail giant also released its workforce diversity report, outlining the racial and gender make up from all its departments. The Minneapolis-based company announced it was donating $10 million to “advance social justice and support rebuilding and recovery efforts in local communities” following the killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis earlier this year.

“We are really committed to building a team that represents our guests, that increases advancement opportunities and also reduces turnover for our team members of color,” said Melissa Kremer, Target's chief human resources officer.
