Generation 'Z' May Be Tricky for Employers

The next generation of employees, children and teenagers born after 2000 may be overly cautious and super tech-obsessed. So reports the BBC.

Due to technological proliferation and world-changing events like the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and a massive economic recession, generation Z will bring different characteristics to the workplace than previous generations. Daria Taylor, the co-founder of a digital marketing and youth insight agency in London, said U.K. companies are trying to get ahead with Gen Z as employers may have been slightly behind the curve on understanding the complexities of millennials.

“... They are starting early to look at the next generation, and I think the UK may be slightly ahead of the US on this.” Generation Z may also be more inclined to skip universities and go straight to apprentices and internships and could also be more independent and less collaborative than previous generations.
