The goal of the event was to help HR departments learn how to tap the potential of men and women who have served in the armed forces. The companies were invited on behalf of the Northwest Iowa and Southwest Minnesota Society for Human Resources Management, and the event was labeled as the first of its kind in the area.
The representatives invited heard about strategies for developing relationships with active and former military members and programs already in place that help transition those returning from service into the workforce.
