Andrew Yang Touts 4-Day Workweek Amid Pandemic Featured

Advocating for a four-day workweek became a big part of former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang’s brand during the campaign and he is once again urging companies take it seriously as they grapple with the coronavirus pandemic. So reports Newsweek.

calendar 660670 640The entrepreneur tweeted on Memorial Day weekend “3-Day weekends are better than 2-Day weekends. We should seriously look at 4-day workweeks. Studies show that we would be just as productive. It would create jobs at the margins and improve mental health.”

Many companies have required their employees to work from home as they seek to comply with city and state requirements for social distancing to stem the spread of COVID-19. But, with more and more states allowing for phased reopening over the last two months, businesses are contending with how best to have their employees report back to the workplace.
