The Hub, which surveys employers monthly, has been able to find jobs for about 550 people since it launched September last year. With the coronavirus pandemic, the Hub has been operating virtually and provides a platform for employers to explain what they need and for job seekers to reach out to actual people instead of them just going on job websites.
"You get direct access to the director of human resources or whoever is hiring," said G. Lamar Stewart, chief of the community engagement unit for the Philadelphia DA’s office.
