The chief human resources officers with Accenture, Lincoln Financial Group, ServiceNow and Verizon created People + Work Connect, which allows companies to link up with other companies to address job shortages at no cost to the employers. More than 265 companies in 95 countries with 400,000+ job listings are part of the platform.
"When we decided to own the unemployment numbers as a collective problem and not just focus on our own workforce needs that is when something important shifted,” said Christy Pambianchi, Verizon's executive vice president and CHRO.
