Ex-HR Manager Stole $600K+ to Pay for Plastic Surgery: Prosecutor

A former New Jersey human resources manager is accused of stealing more than $600,000 from her company and using the money for plastic surgery and to buy designer clothing. So reports NJ .com.

seaboxThe Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office charged Karen O’Brien with theft by unlawful taking and computer-related activity for the purpose of a scheme to defraud. O’Brien had worked for SEA BOX, and used the firm’s credit card to buy clothes and other items from Saks Fifth Avenue, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.

“She also used the company credit card to purchase airfare, rental cars and lodging accommodations for her and others to vacation in Puerto Rico, and even used it to pay for herself and a friend to undergo buttock augmentation procedures at a Las Vegas plastic surgery center,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
