In a survey released late last month by Limeade, 100% of employees expressed their angst over reporting back to the workplace. They noted COVID-19 exposure, less flexibility and traveling to work as top concerns. The survey by the employee experience software firm polled 4,553 full-time workers in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia and the U.S.
More than three-quarters of those surveyed said exposure to COVID-19 ranked as their top worry, while 71% and 58% noted flexibility and commuting to work, respectively, as their most pressing concerns.
“Given all that employees have experienced and endured over the past year and a half, it is not surprising that our research is showing that employees are hesitant to go back into the physical office and to let go of autonomy over their wellbeing,” said Lindsay Lagreid, senior adviser at the Limeade Institute.
