Lessons Learned During Pandemic That Should Be Embraced Long-Term

The COVID-19 pandemic forced leadership to quickly adapt and there are lessons from last year that should be mainstays for the long-term. So reports Forbes.

Many employers had to quickly adapt to a remote work situation, and that meant addressing new challenges, such as employees no longer having access to in-person schooling and daycare for their children during the pandemic. Verizon sought to help its workers through these personal challenges by reimbursing them for backup daycare and caregiver leave.

microsoft 80658 640smallWellbeing also became a top concern with employees during the lockdown. To address this, Microsoft Japan made an organizational change by cutting down its workweek from five days to four days and limiting meetings to 30 minutes and five people.
