Verizon Launches Program to Tackle Gender Inequities

Verizon recently launched its so-called “collaborative career engine” that aims to help its own female employees as well as customers and the wider public boost their career prospects and opportunities. So reports Human Resource Executive.

Verizon1The Women’s CoLab will offer women access to digital resources to aid with their professional and personal growth. The initiative also will provide insight from industry experts, training and networking opportunities.

“Our vision is to develop a network powered by women for women and call on our partners to create a broader community of support that will ultimately shape a more equitable future,” Chief Human Resource Officer Christy Pambianchi wrote in a letter to employees last month where she, Tami Erwin, CEO of Verizon Business, and Rima Qureshi, chief strategy officer at Verizon, announced the program.
