Nordstrom’s HR head Farrell Redwine came to the company in 2016 and took over as HR chief earlier this year. The company has promised that by 2025 it will lift Black and Latinx representation in people-manager roles by at least 50%. It also wants at least half of its interns and early hires to be from underrepresented demographics and to have employees who engage with customers undergo anti-racism and anti-bias training also by 2025.
“We have a number of different pipelines where we’re actively looking for and providing pathways for our employees to move across the organization and within the organization,” Redwine said.
