Unilever Requires Hybrid Workers Be Able to Commute Within 24 Hours to Office

As many Unilever employees continue working remotely, the global consumer business conglomerate with 150,000 staff is requiring that those offsite workers are able to commute back to the office within 24-hours. So reports The Times.

unileverUnilever, as have other companies, has seen employees move far from where they used to work after the COVID-19 pandemic forced many employers to adopt remote working systems. As Unilever transitions to a scheme that gets workers back to the office under more flexible arrangements, it wants to ensure offsite workers can get back within a day if an emergency arises, or what it calls a “reasonable commute”.
