Julie Hodges, who worked at Walt Disney Co. for 32 years, became Activision Blizzard’s new chief people officer effective Sept. 21. She replaced Claudine Naughton, who Activision Blizzard noted was “leaving the company.”
Hodges’ hire comes after Blizzard Entertainment president J. Allen Brack resigned August 3, The Washington Post had reported. Jesse Meschuk, who had worked as Activision’s senior vice president for global HR, no longer works there, the company had told The Post, as previously reported by Progressive HRM.
A July 20 suit filed by California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing alleged that Blizzard’s male employees groped or harassed women in the workplace or at company events. The suit also calls out Brack for knowing about several incidents of the alleged abuse and claims he did not take action to address these concerns.
