Target Pushes Flex Scheduling In Fight for Retail Workers

Target is homing in on flexible work schedules in the ongoing push to build up its retail worker ranks. So reports Dow Jones.

TargetTarget has introduced a mobile scheduling app that it touts will allow employees to lock in more preferred working hours. The big box store notes that its associates are working 15% more hours versus last year.

"We have worked to provide our team members with more consistent schedules, which means more consistent paychecks and a more consistent way to manage their life," says Melissa Kremer, Target's chief human resources officer.
