Intelligent Hiring Key to Keeping Burnout at Bay for Moderna  

Moderna’s workforce faced tremendous stress as one of the major drug companies to produce the COVID-19 vaccine, so making sure their large millennial staff did not burnout was a top priority. So reports Fortune.

ModernaTracey Franklin, chief human resources officer of the biotech company, credits intelligent hiring for maintaining balance with employees. For Moderna, it’s all about personalizing its talent and retention approach that included pop-up daycare centers to sub for the normal daycare facilities that were closed, connecting workers with wellness coaches and daily free lunches.

“We try not to have big blanket programs, but rather umbrella programs employees can personalize,” Franklin says. “Whether it's how your benefits are delivered, or what your equity is, or what perks you need. That’s really helpful from a retention perspective.”
