Employer Response to SCOTUS Abortion Ruling a Factor in Workers Resigning

A new survey finds that 30% of employees are considering ditching their jobs stemming from how their employers respond to the U.S. Supreme Court striking down Roe v. Wade. So reports Catalyst.

supreme court 546279 1920The September survey of more than 1,000 adults working in the U.S. also reveals that 44% say their companies and leaders are falling short on ensuring abortion access, while 33% say they want their CEOs to push for abortion rights. Catalyst is a non-profit focused on women in the workplace.

“When organizations took action, employees noticed,” Catalyst notes in a statement. “Employees were nearly twice as likely (83% vs 45%) to say that their organization genuinely cares about addressing employee needs if their organization took action in response to Roe v. Wade being overturned.”
