Bare Minimum Mondays: TikTok’s Newest Viral Workplace Craze

The dreaded feeling of starting another workweek inspired a woman to show how she is fighting back and now her TikTok video has become viral. So reports CNBC.

TikTokMarisa Jo had attracted more than two million views as of mid-April with her “bare minimum Monday” story on TikTok and other videos carrying the hashtag. And Jo is far from alone as a recent study by LinkedIn and Headspace found that almost three-quarters of working Americans freak out on Sundays in anticipation of work on Mondays.

“With the volume of work or meetings on our plates, there needs to be a heightened focus on mental health and well-being instead of employees thinking they have to put their foot right on the gas at 9am on Monday,” said Andrew Hunter, a career expert and co-founder of job search engine Adzuna.

“This trend is about giving employees flexibility to pace their work evenly… reducing work-related stress and burnout that can potentially carry over into their engagement, productivity and the company culture,” he adds.
