Romerian Logan, who was 18 at the time, also alleges in her lawsuit that her manager, BiQing Liu, physically assaulted her when she told him in July of last year that she was going through with the pregnancy. The restaurant is located in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Logan had worked there since 2019.
The lawsuit, filed last month, also goes after Panda Express executives, who Logan alleges ignored her concerns. After informing her manager that she was pregnant, Logan says he “started making negative comments…about her pregnancy and suggested that [she] get an abortion,” the suit notes. Three months later, her manager “physically assaulted [Logan] by physically restraining her from leaving the workplace after her shift,” according to the suit.
Logan “reported the incident to human resources but nothing was done to help her,” the suit notes. Instead, she was tasked with “scrubbing jobs” and other manual labor that she was “unable to perform because of her pregnancy,” according to the legal filing.
Logan told The Post that Panda Express fired her last December, four months before she gave birth this past April. A representative from the Jersey City restaurant would only tell the publication that Logan was moved to another Panda Express in New York City.
