Diane Jurgens joined Disney as CIO in October 2020. Her departure comes after Disney in April fired its chief human resources officer, Paul Richardson, without cause.
“We made important management changes and efficiency improvements to create a more cost-effective, coordinated and streamlined approach to our operations,” Bob Iger, CEO at Disney, said during an earnings call in August. Iger had been CEO at the company for 15 years before leaving in 2020. He rejoined as CEO in November of last year.
“We aggressively reduced costs across the enterprise, and we’re on track to exceed our initial goal of $5.5 billion in savings,” he said.
