Knight is father to 13-year-old Daylen and understanding how he embraces being a working parent is a big part of his mission to reduce the stress other working parents may face over deciding whether to put their careers ahead of their children.
Knight speaks from experience, noting that he didn’t take any leave after the birth of his son and later recognized how others could perceive his action as business being a higher priority than family. “I vowed, ‘Heck no.’ If there’s something I can do as a dad to make it more normal, more status quo—parents being parents—then I’m going to do so,” Knight said.
