At the same time that Baby Boomers (born 1946-1964) are retiring in droves, many of them are unable – or unwilling – to leave the workforce just yet. This trend coincides with the rise of the Millennial generation – the children of the post-World War II generation born between roughly 1981 and 2000.
Even as the so-called "Next Gen" of professionals starts to dominate the workplace and competes with their parents for coveted advertising and marketing dollars, the Baby Boomers remain very much present. The youngest of that celebrated generation turn 50 this year, which still counts as "young" in our world. Just ask countries like Japan, China and Russia.
