HR Bigwigs Prefer to Promote from Within: Study

It's not great news for job-hunters, but encouraging for employees seeking a promotion at work. Nearly three-quarters of the 400 respondents indicated they prefer developing current employees' skills to help them move into more senior roles, rather than hiring from the outside, according to a just-released survey of business leaders responsible for HR conducted by the non-profit College for America (CFA).
