Eatery Manager Accused Of Choking Man is Fired

A manager at a Michigan restaurant accused of choking an inebriated man in the eatery last month was fired after a video of the incident found its way on social media. So reports WOOD TV.

Surveillance video of the Grand Rapids Buffalo Wild Wings manager shows he and another employee speaking with the man shortly before the manager grabs his neck. A few seconds later the victim was left unconscious.

After the man drops to the ground, both workers pull him outside. "We're extremely disappointed about this," says Jean Lanfear, vice president of human resources. "We have terminated the manager who doesn't embody the Buffalo Wild Wings culture."

Lanfear described the man as "very drunk," and that he was "creating chaos," but said the manager who choked him was in the wrong.
