Plugging the Leaky C-Suite Pipeline for Women

Companies may have the best intentions in boosting the number of women executives in their ranks, but the pipeline leading to the C-Suite may be rife with leaks. So reports Entrepreneur.

Companies can act now to fix those leaks, writes Entrepreneur contributor Jeffrey Hayzlett. One of those actions entails mandatory training of unconscious bias throughout the organization. Senior leadership also needs to lay out goals specific to hiring and retaining women.

“Require effective mentoring and sponsorship programs, allowing employees to seek career-advancement advice,” Hayzlett notes. “Focus on key promotions and the development of managers to become strong candidates, to further diversity.”
