In the survey of 1,500 professionals who worked remotely at least part of the time from March 2020 to March 2021, 18% said they do want to go back to the office full-time. More parents with children at home said they wanted to work full-time at the office versus childless employees who enjoyed working remotely. Married workers also want to be in office full-time versus singles.
The vast majority of those polled (98%) were able to hold onto their jobs while working remotely, while one-third believed they saw an improvement in their overall performance and work quality compared to 2019. A third also said they were more focused working from home.
