Tax Credit Provided to Small Businesses That Pay Workers to Take Vax

Small businesses that pay employees while they are away from work getting the COVID-19 vaccine can secure tax credits. So reports Reuters.

covid 19 4908690 640smallLast month, President Joe Biden announced the effort as a way to further incentivize companies to be more active in the nationwide vaccination effort. The credit will be available for businesses with fewer than 500 employees.

“I'm calling on every employer, large and small, in every state to give employees the time off they need with pay to get vaccinated,” Biden said.

Small businesses can qualify for a tax credit of up to $511 per day for every worker until September. About 50% of private-sector workers are from businesses with fewer than 500 employees.
