HR Head Calls On Employers, Workers to Redefine Workplace Together

A chief human resources officer is urging that employers and their staff join forces to learn how the workplace should function in a post-COVID world. So reports Employee Benefit News.

covid 19 4922384 640smallA so-called “return-to-normal” is not likely amid thousands of COVID cases being reported daily and increasing pressure to mandate vaccines, but employers and workers will have join together to design a functional work space, says Steve Pemberton, chief human resources officer at workforce management solutions company Workhuman.

“For the past two years, employees have been in complete control of how, where and when their work gets done,” Pemberton says. “As we look to the future, organizations need to continue taking their employees’ feelings and desires into consideration when implementing a potential return to the office, a remote-only ecosystem or the increasingly popular hybrid option.”
