HR Executives Aim to Boost Pay to Blunt Rising Inflation

More human resources executives are planning to increase worker compensation as a way to fight against increasing inflation. So reports Human Resource Executive, citing a survey.

dollar 3706548 640 smallGartner surveyed 157 HR leaders in March and found that 63% aim to lift salaries to address their employees’ concerns with high inflation.

“The No. 1 thing that employers focus on is compensation when it comes to retention,” says Tony Guadagni, senior principal in the Gartner HR practice. “It’s not the only thing. But it’s the biggest thing. And if you have the opportunity, if you’re capable of raising wages, you’re going to do better in terms of retaining your employees than organizations that don’t.”
