Ford Wants 32,000 Staff to Continue Working from Home Until June

Ford has told about 32,000 of its employees who have been working at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic that they will continue to do so through June. So reports Detroit Free Press.

Ford“We've been considering the current environment, including local and state (safety) requirements, and ongoing planning about workspaces,” said Cassandra Hayes, Ford manager of transformation communications.

The nine month stay at home policy is effective for all non-essential Ford employees, Hayes said.

Melissa Bradley, a business professor at Georgetown University, said Ford made the right call. “It allows people to plan and signals there's a concern for people's well-being,” she noted. “It's good to know that your employer cares not just about your productivity but about your health.”
